Whitney Schwartz went 4-for-5 from 3-point range and 5-for-6 overall en route to 15 points and Lindsay Ippel recorded a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds as Millikin knocked off No. 10 Illinois Wesleyan on the road Thursday night, 67-49.
The win, which ended the Titans' nine-game winning streak, came in a game delayed two days because of Tuesday's weather.
Illinois Wesleyan (19-2, 9-1 CCIW) jumped out to an early 13-8 advantage before Schwartz responded with back-to-back 3-pointers to give Millikin (17-4, 8-2) a 14-13 lead. The Titans led as late as 19-17 inside the five-minute mark, but the Big Blue ended the first half on a 10-1 run and extended it to 15-1 before a Mallory Heydorn jumper in the second half stemmed the tide.
Heydorn led all scorers with 19 points but shot 7-for-21 from the floor, 2-for-8 from 3-point range. The Titans were 5-for-24 (20.8%) from beyond the arc on the night.
Millikin's avenged a 63-44 home loss to IWU on Jan. 9.
