Rivier senior forward Jeff Carpenter became the first men's player in GNAC history to reach the 1,000 rebound plateau.

Playing in what was his final collegiate contest, on Tuesday, Feb. 26, in the conference tournament quarterfinals, he pulled down 11 rebounds, giving him a career total of 1,001. In his previous game, Feb. 23, he scored his 1,500th point in Rivier's win against Daniel Webster.

Carpenter concluded his career as the conference's all-time rebound leader, and the sixth leading scorer in conference history.
