Millikin Men Lose in Tournament Action

          The Millikin men's basketball team lost to Missouri Baptist 81-77 at the Greenville College Tournament in Greenville, Ill. on Dec. 7.

          Missouri Baptist was up 35-33 at the half, but Millikin rallied early in the second half to push ahead.  Millikin led for about nine minutes of play with its biggest lead being four points.  Missouri Baptist regained the lead with just over six minutes to play and held on for the win.  Missouri Baptist shot 50 percent from the field while the Big Blue hit on only 38 percent of its shots.  Missouri Baptist had a 50 to 31 rebounding advantage.

          Millikin again had a balanced attack with 10 players scoring.  TJ Griffin led the way with 16 points.  Trent Windemuller added 15 points hitting on five of six three-pointers.  Chase Robbins returning from a knee injury scored 12 points.  Jaylon Owens had nine points and a team high seven rebounds.

          Kendall Smith led Missouri Baptist with 15 points.

          Millikin is now 3-4 on the season and will face Mid-Continent University on Saturday, Dec. 8 in the second day of the Greenville Tournament.  Missouri Baptist improves to 4-7.
