Cancer claims Albright player

It is with great sadness that Albright announces the passing of Derek R. Kehoe '09. Kehoe died of Leiomyosarcoma on Oct. 28, in his home. He was 19.

While at Albright, Kehoe played point guard on the varsity basketball team. He was involved as a counselor for the summer start program and a student employee for the Office of Community Standards. He also served as a member of the Public Safety Advisory Committee.

In his spare time Kehoe was a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and participated with his father in Civil War re-enactment groups. Kehoe was recently named junior varsity assistant coach for the Nazareth High School basketball team. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bath, Pa.

Services will be held Thursday, Nov. 2 at 9:15 a.m. in Reichel Funeral Home, Nazareth. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, Bath. Friends may call Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home.
