All four road teams won in CCIW men's basketball games last night, as North Park won 77-68 at North Central, Millikin won 84-82 at Illinois Wesleyan, Elmhurst won 72-62 at Carthage and Augustana won 74-69 at Wheaton.
Millikin (8-5, 1-1) led by 16 with five minutes to play before Illinois Wesleyan (8-5, 1-1) went on a 15-1 run to cut the lead to two with 2:03 to play. The Titans could get no closer, however, and hit a three-pointer with one second left to account for the final two-point margin. It ended Millikin's 12-game losing streak to IWU. Full story
Freshman Joe Capalbo scored 19 points as North Park improved to 10-4, 2-1 with a 77-68 win at North Central.
Brent Ruch scored 15 points and Brian Lee and Ryan Burks added 13 as No. 14 Elmhurst won at No. 18 Carthage 72-62.
No. 15 Augustana shot 56% from the floor and got 22 points from Jordan Delp in winning at No. 21 Wheaton 74-69.
