Chapman rallied from a 18-point second half deficit, including scoring the final seven points to force overtime. The Panthers then pulled away from La Verne to win 108-97 in overtime. (Highlight: Gina Romero ties the game with 0:39 left, Craig Dunkin and Stacie Roshon on the call.)

Chapman (23-5) advances and will travel to Howard Payne for a second-round game Saturday. Thanks to the overtime, the game actually extended all the way into March, at least in the Eastern Time Zone. Lauren Kamiyama led all scorers with 34, including 17-for-18 from the foul line after halftime.
