A Bud Willis jumper early in the second half put McMurry (18-6) up by 15, 44-29 before a 37-15 surge gave Mary Hardin-Baylor a 66-59 lead. McMurry rallied to tie at 68 and held on to push the game to overtime, where it scored the final four points. Full story.

Babson rallied from a nine-point deficit with 1:10 left to lead Coast Guard 62-61 in the closing seconds, where Jeff Prebeck missed two foul shots for Coast Guard to seal the win for Babson. McDaniel took a step toward sneaking into the Centennial playoffs with a 78-75 win against Franklin and Marshall. The Diplomats are just 8-16 this season, 7-10 in the league. Lincoln kept its Pool B playoff bid hopes alive with a 79-76 win at New Jersey City, rallying from a 22-point second-half hole.
In women's action Mary Hardin-Baylor took No. 9 McMurry to overtime, but McMurry, which rallied from a 17-point second-half deficit, prevailed in the extra session 68-60. John Carroll trailed by 23 in the first half and 19 at halftime but came back to defeat No. 22 Baldwin-Wallace 63-58. The Blue Streaks hadn't beaten their crosstown foe since Dec. 7, 1993. B-W shot 5-for-33 in the second half. Capital's Crusaders lost their second in a row, falling to Heidelberg 71-68.
