Familiar names are back in the No. 1 spot in the D3hoops.com Top 25.

Bowdoin, which received 12 No. 1 votes, has been No. 1 24 times as well as the 2004-05 preseason. The Polar Bears have gotten at least one No. 1 vote in every poll this season. It's UW-Stevens Point's 17th time in the No. 1 spot in the regular season. The 2004 and 2005 national champions have topped the poll five times this season.

The Pointers collected 21 first-place votes, while Virginia Wesleyan was second with one vote. Amherst kept three first-place votes and fell to No. 3.

Bowdoin, which beat Bates 78-47 on Saturday to improve to 23-1, enters the NESCAC tournament Saturday against Trinity (Conn.). Calvin, which defeated Hope for the second time this season, picked up nine first-place votes, followed by two apiece from Howard Payne and Southern Maine. The full Top 25.
