PnAC adds Baptist Bible

ASTON, Pa. -- Pennsylvania Athletic Conference commissioner Amy Frankenstein has announced the conference will add Baptist Bible to its membership. The school has accepted the invitation to join the PAC as a full member beginning with the 2008-09 academic year.

Located in Clarks Summit, Pa., Baptist Bible will compete in 11 sports. The Defenders will compete in baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, golf, men's and women's soccer, softball, women's tennis, and volleyball.

Baptist Bible president Jim Jeffrey said, “We are thrilled with the news that we have been invited to join the PAC effective the 2008-09 academic year. We look forward to our new alliance which will allow us to provide great athletic programs for our students.”

The PAC currently consists of 12 full-time institutions. Beginning in 2008 the 12-member PAC will consist of: Baptist Bible, Cabrini, Cedar Crest, Centenary, Gwynedd-Mercy, Immaculata, Keystone, Marywood, Neumann, Notre Dame (Md.), Philadelphia Bible and Rosemont. Cedar Crest, Notre Dame and Rosemont are women-only.
