No. 12 Southern Maine won its 71st consecutive home game in sending No. 21 Bowdoin to its second loss on the season, getting balanced scoring in a 77-58 win. The Huskies received 12 points each from senior forwards Josalee Danieli and Shannon Kynoch and sophomore forward-guard Becky Dixon, and 10 more from sophomore guard Nicole Paradis. The No. 7 Brandeis men had little trouble with Babson, sprinting out to a 26-5 lead en route to a 72-57 win. Widener improved to 5-0 with a 75-56 win at Cabrini.

Plattsburgh State improved to 3-0 Tuesday night, winning at home against St. Lawrence 84-70. The Cardinals, who recently climbed all the way to No. 11, won a first-round tournament game on a buzzer-beater against Rochester last March.
