No. 21 Elmhurst made the long trip to Orlando and came home with a big win. Ryan Burks hit three free throws with under a second left to lift the Bluejays past No. 9 Hope 74-71. Elmhurst improves to 6-1 while Hope drops to 6-2, picking up its first loss to a Division III opponent.

No. 14 Plattsburgh State also flew to warmer climates, though with less success. The Cardinals lost to Occidental 69-64 to split their California trip. The Tigers shot 53.6 percent from the field in the second half.

Roanoke edged Defiance 69-68 to end the Yellow Jackets' four game winning streak, which included Tuesday night's 53-46 upset win over No. 13 UW-Oshkosh. In women's action, Wittenberg played an inspired game at the newly named Pam Evans Smith Arena as the Tigers fell just three points short of upsetting No. 9 Thomas More. Jayme Thiem's 23 points and 11 rebounds lifted the Saints to a 56-53 win.

Albion showed it will be a very real factor in the MIAA conference race. The Britons forced 28 Calvin turnovers and blasted the Knights 78-51. No. 12 Kean rolled over Scranton 82-65, handing the Lady Royals rare back-to-back loses at home. More women's scores here.
