The Hope women took over the No. 1 spot for the first time since the end of the 2005-06 season, pulling in 11 votes for the top spot in the newest D3hoops.com Top 25.
The Dutch, who are 10-0, have won those 10 games by an average of 26.8 points and moved up from the No. 2 spot after Mary Washington's loss to UW-Whitewater on a neutral floor on Sunday.
UW-Whitewater, which is 12-0, moved into the No. 2 spot and has six first-place votes, followed by Howard Payne (five No. 1 votes), NYU (three) and Mary Washington.
Rochester remains No. 1 in the men's poll, followed by Brandeis, UW-Stevens Point, Amherst and Williams in balloting through the games of Dec. 31.
