Richardson continues scoring climb

McMurry's Tarra Richardson made sure Mississippi College's Lacey Kennedy didn't stay in the record books for long, as she became the American Southwest Conference's all-time leading scorer with 1,896 points in the team's 81-68 win at Schreiner.

Richardson appears to be a lock to reach 2,000 points, as McMurry has nine regular season games left before the ASC tournament.

Tilmon Gaddy had 18 points and 12 rebounds as the Mary Hardin-Baylor men snapped their two-game losing streak with an 86-65 win over Howard Payne. On the women's side, the Yellow Jackets improved to 16-0 with a 69-45 triumph over Howard Payne. Meia Daniels had 10 points, but played only 24 minutes due to a thumb injury. The Emerson and Emmanuel men each won by double figures on the road, setting up a Saturday showdown for first place in the GNAC. Emerson is 13-1, despite not having anyone left on its roster bigger than 6-2. Immaculata improved to 7-0 in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference by topping Neumann 71-64. Western Connecticut put up a Grinnell-esque 124 points in a rout of Southern Vermont. And Hardin-Simmons won its fifth straight, topping Texas Lutheran. Thursday men's scores.

Dickinson's women held off Muhlenberg, 64-49 in a showdown of two of the top teams in the Centennial Conference. In ranked action, Tufts won its second straight non-league game this week, knocking off Worcester State.
