Lester Prosper capped off a tremendous night with a putback dunk with one second remaining, lifting SUNY-Old Westbury to a 73-71 win against Mount St. Mary. Prosper, a freshman, scored 18 points, had 13 rebounds and blocked 14 shots in the Panthers' win.
The blocks were four short of the Division III record of 18 by Lincoln's John Bunch.
On a weekend in which No. 1 Rochester and No. 2 Brandeis already lost, Mass-Dartmouth, the last remaining unbeaten, nearly bit the dust as well. But senior center Dan Holbrook made two free throws with 23 seconds left to break a 67-67 tie and the No. 8 Corsairs scored the final nine points of the game to rally and beat visiting Western Connecticut 72-67. No. 1 Hope, No. 2 Howard Payne (61-40 winners at Concordia-Austin) and No. 5 Thomas More (81-55 winners over Bethany) remained unbeaten in women's action, though No. 16 Amherst lost to archrival Williams (scroll down for more). UW-Oshkosh was just 2-6 in conference entering Saturday's game, but played much better than that in rolling No. 10 UW-Stevens Point 59-42. The Titans outrebounded the Pointers 46-26.

No. 22 Wheaton (Ill.) won 79-75 in overtime at No. 13 Elmhurst, while No. 10 Augustana finished the game on a 21-9 run in beating North Central.
No. 16 Virginia Wesleyan stifled No. 19 Randolph-Macon 56-38, locking the teams in a first place tie atop the ODAC. The Marlins scored the first 13 points of the second half and never looked back. No. 24 Roanoke is just half a game back after its 67-65 win at Hampden-Sydney. No. 17 Plattsburgh State got 24 points from Anthony Williams and rallied from 12 points down to defeat Brockport State.
In a game that featured 10 ties and 16 lead changes, Ursinus kept its perfect Centennial Conference record intact with a 88-85 win against Swarthmore. Franklin and Marshall hit two three-pointers in the final two seconds of regulation to erase a 67-61 deficit and force overtime, but couldn't finish off McDaniel, which won 82-78. Guilford got 38 points and 11 rebounds from Ben Strong in winning at Bridgewater 85-80. Tim Wesley banked in a three-pointer as time expired to lift Ramapo past Rowan 101-98 in double overtime. Emmanuel junior guard Rob Williams-Hinton drilled a deep three-pointer at the buzzer to give the Saints a 76-75 win over Emerson in a crosstown Boston rivalry.
The Wesleyan women won at Bowdoin 62-49, snapping a 13-game losing streak to the Polar Bears and taking over the NESCAC top spot. It's just Bowdoin's third home loss since 2001. John Carroll won for the ninth time in 10 games, rallying from a 14-point deficit against Otterbein to do so. No. 7 Kean improved to 17-1 behind Chari' Cooper's 50th career double-double in beating Montclair State 76-63. Cooper reached the top 10 in rebounds in Division III history with 1,343.
