Surprise: Wheaton men in

The Division III men's basketball tournament bracket has been released, with the Field of 59 set along the road to Salem. Download the newly created printable version of the bracket.

D3hoops.com predicted 16 of 17 Pool C teams and three of four Pool B teams. Wheaton (Ill.) was in, while Cal Lutheran was out in Pool C. Moravian was in and Chapman was not selected in Pool B. Thunder coach Bill Harris said: “I am surprised that we were selected. I don't know how Lazarus felt, but it may have been something like this.

“I am pleased that we were selected. We played a tough schedule and have some wins over teams that are in the tournament like University of Chicago, Loras and Augustana; I am sure that those victories helped us.”

&&g-boxr&&As a reminder, if you didn't hear it on the show, the NCAA production was in error on one of the first-round matchups. Contrary to what the NCAA announced, Occidental does not get a first-round bye -- the Tigers host Pomona-Pitzer, with the winner traveling to Whitworth in the second round.

UW-Platteville was on the bubble and ended up not making the field. The Pioneers, however, return basically everyone in 2009. Four NESCAC teams make the field, along with four UAA teams. Scroll down for the women's bracket info.

Plus, who will the new men's No. 1 team be? We'll found out later tonight, if there even is one.
