The last busy night before Thanksgiving has some ranked teams rolling into the holiday and others hoping to fill their stomachs and clear their minds after a rough start.
No. 3 Wheaton cruised past Loras 81-52 in a game the Thunder never trailed and often dominated. Wheaton held a 17-point lead at the half and pushed the advantage as high as 31. Andy Wiele filled his plate with 18 points and 13 rebounds in the victory. No. 25 Elms held off Westfield State 91-86 in an early battle of unbeaten New England teams. Juan Galdon scored 22 points for the Blazers who improved to 5-0. No. 5 St. Thomas stayed unbeaten after its successful California trip, defeating UW-River Falls 75-61.

Jesse Van Sickle scored a career-high 22 points to lead Gustavus Adolphus past No. 8 Buena Vista 62-58. Lake Forest handled No. 22 Chicago 73-54 leaving the Maroons at 0-4. Trinity (Texas), who narrowly missed an upset against No. 6 UW-Stevens Point on Saturday, landed one on Tuesday with an 81-71 victory over No. 10 Mary Hardin-Baylor (0-2). More men�s scores.
Nick Allen nailed a jump shot with seven seconds left to push No. 7 UW-Platteville past Anderson 68-66. Preseason All-American Jeff Skemp scored 29 points including the 1,000th of his career. WPI isn�t ranked yet but might be soon. The Engineers followed up their back-to-back wins over Top 25 teams with a dramatic victory over Lasell 78-77. Ben Etten�s jumper with seven seconds moves WPI to 5-0.
In women�s action, Moravian stifled No. 9 DeSales, holding the Bulldogs to just 33 percent shooting from the scored 18 points for the Greyhounds. Heather Witt had four steals in a five minute span as No. 25 UW-Eau Claire topped No. 17 St. Norbert 66-57. More women's scores.
