Emmanuel beat Lesley 73-59 on Tuesday night, giving Saints women's basketball coach Andy Yosinoff his 600th career win. He joins just four other women's basketball coaches to reach that milestone, the most recent being Scrantons Mike Strong on Feb. 12, 2005.
"To reach the 600-win plateau is truly amazing, said Emmanuel athletic director Pam Roecker. Andy has dedicated his entire basketball career to Emmanuel College, maintains incredible relationships with his former players and preserves a strong commitment on a daily basis to his current team members."
&&g-boxl&&Currently in his 32nd year as head coach of the Saints, Yosinoff has compiled a list of impressive credentials, including a record of 600-199. He ranks fifth in career victories among Division III womens basketball coaches, while his .753 winning percentage places him among the top 20 of his peers, both active and all-time.
Under Yosinoffs direction, the Saints have made 13 NCAA tournament appearances and claimed 13 Great Northeast Athletic Conference titles, including five straight from 2000-2005 and a trip to the 2001 Final Four.
Emmanuel improved to 4-3.
