The Crusaders held on as DeSales cut a six-point lead to two in the closing seconds, then missed a shot that would have tied the game and couldn't get a putback off in time. No. 20 Southern Maine kept Eastern Connecticut from making some noise of its own, winning 72-64 in overtime and dropping the Warriors to 9-2.
Central rallied from a 16-point deficit on the road and beat Buena Vista 82-78. It's Central's first win in Storm Lake, Iowa, since 2000. Kristen Vallone went 20-20 in points and rebounds to lead Wentworth to a 57-38 win against Gordon. But one game combined both: Olivia Fisher scored 24 points and had 23 rebounds as the University of the Ozarks rallied from a 20-point deficit to beat Texas Lutheran 83-75.
