Mississippi College used a 14-4 run in the second half to build a double-digit lead that it held the rest of the way. Anna Patterson scored 21 points for the Choctaws who improve to 8-1, 5-1 in the ASC. Hope Hohertz had 22 points and six rebounds for Howard Payne who dropped both games on a tough road swing to Louisiana College (6-1) and Mississippi College.

The Knights shot 33 percent from the field (15 for 46) and the Pioneers just 28 percent (17 for 61) but William Paterson did enough to improve to 11-0 and notch its third win of the season against a defending conference champion. No. 7 Kean picked up its ninth consecutive win in easing past St. Elizabeth 64-33. Like the Cougars whose lone loss is to Division I Rutgers, No. 24 Carthage remained undefeated against Division III opponents. The Lady Reds held off a second half rally by Coe for a 72-65 victory. It was a quiet night for men�s action. Oneonta State and SUNYIT, which are just 55 miles apart in Upstate New York, played each other in Florida where Oneonta State beat its former conference mate 78-67. Westminster (Mo.) won the battle of the Blue Jays by slipping past Elmhurst 63-60. No. 22 Mississippi College ran its win streak to nine by defeating Howard Payne, 78-70. Men�s scores.
