WPI bounced back from a halftime deficit and blew out Trinity (Conn.) in the second half, winning 90-75. No. 12 Virginia Wesleyan survived at Washington and Lee, 69-64. Noel Hollingsworth shot 17-for-26 en route to 37 points as No. 15 MIT rolled over Babson 72-45. No. 20 St. Mary's (Md.) scored 15 of the final 21 points after Wesley took a late lead and went on to beat the Wolverines 81-74. No. 24 Eastern Mennonite missed 51 shots, but made 39 and blew out Roanoke 119-91.
Top-ranked Randolph-Macon had little trouble with Christopher Newport, leading wire-to-wire in an 80-68 win. Division III's other undefeated team remained so as well, as No. 21 Medaille won at Frostburg State, 74-70. Aaron Burtzel posted a triple-double with 16 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds for St. John's in a 74-61 win against Concordia-Moorhead. Junior guard Corey Connor nailed a three-pointer with 2.9 seconds left to lift Bridgewater State to a 77-74 comeback victory against Westfield State.
Charlie Brock earned his 400th career win, as Springfield beat Coast Guard 69-61. Moravian got coach Jim Walker his 400th career win against 386 career losses, beating Drew 79-49. Central scored 15 of the final 18 points to beat Coe 62-50 and improve to 11-3 overall. Elizabethown won its sixth consecutive game, beating Arcadia to move to 10-3. McMurry held off a late rally and defeated East Texas Baptist 71-64. Kalamazoo, which started the season 0-10, is now 2-0 in the MIAA after beating Adrian 65-61. Eryk Watson had 34 points as Maryville (Tenn.) edged Rust 98-94. Washington and Jefferson defeated Westminster (Pa.) 84-83 in triple overtime behind Brian Felker's 23 points and 14 rebounds off the bench.
