New No. 1 Randolph-Macon won in dramatic fashion at archrival Hampden-Sydney, 69-68. With the game tied at 59 and 4:28 to play, Hampden-Sydney built a four-point lead on back-to-back baskets. Eric Pugh hit a three to draw the Yellow Jackets within one. The Tigers inched the lead back to four before Pugh answered again with two free throws. Then, with Hampden-Sydney clinging to a two-point lead and less than 10 seconds to play, Pugh capped his heroics by finding Adam Desgain for three and the win. More men's scores.

Second-ranked UW-Stevens Point overcame a 22-point performance from D.J. Marsh and scored 10 of the final 12 points to put UW-Oshkosh away, 73-67. Oshkosh shot 10-for-19 from three-point range and the Pointers won despite getting points from just five players.

&&f-boxl&&The latest episode of Division III's biggest rivalry saw Calvin defeat Hope 84-75 at home in front of 4,468 fans and whittle Hope's advantage in the all-time series to 88-86. Calvin big man John Mantel scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds and the Knights shot 55 percent (12 of 22) from three in the victory. It was the conference opener for both teams, with Calvin playing at Hope on Jan. 30.

On Wednesday night's women's schedule, No. 13 UW-River Falls remained undefeated by edging UW-Stout 68-65 in overtime. With UW-Stout leading by two with 16 seconds left, Tiffany Gregorich hit two free throws to pull UW-River Falls even and send the game to overtime. Maranda Dohrn led the Falcons in the victory with 11 points, 13 rebounds and six assists. Baldwin-Wallace dealt No. 16 Mount Union its first loss of the season, 65-53. The Yellow Jackets never trailed and outrebounded the Purple Raiders 44-27.

Kean's Melissa Beyruti moved closer to the Division III career three-pointer record, as she drained eight of them in the No. 4 Cougars' 85-47 win against Rowan. She needs seven to pass the mark of 368 set by Clark's Meegan Garrity from 1994-97.

Gettysburg remained undefeated, beating Swarthmore 51-48 despite shooting just 31 percent from the floor. Wartburg won its seventh consecutive game, beating Simpson for the first time since 2004, 94-74. Gallaudet won for the seventh time in eight games and clinched its best CAC record since 2000, edging Salisbury 69-68.

In other men's action, the other three ranked ODAC teams � No. 6 Guilford, No. 12 Virginia Wesleyan and No. 24 Eastern Mennonite � all won as well. No. 14 Wheaton (Ill.) lost for the second time in four games, falling at Carthage 75-62. York (Pa.) hit the road for the first time since Nov. 28 and lost ... for the first time since Nov. 28. Marymount rallied from an 11-point deficit with 3:43 left in regulation and went on to beat the Spartans 90-88 in overtime.
