No. 25 Greensboro snapped No. 5 Christopher Newport's 27-game winning streak against USA South opponents, holding off a torrid Captains comeback to pull out a 65-61 home win on Sunday afternoon. The Pride shot well from beyond the arc and handed the Captains just their second loss this season, as CNU falls to 15-2 overall, 9-1 in the USA South.

It was GC's "Pride Packs the Place" for basketball and the game was the first ever women's hoops game between ranked teams at GC.

"This was a total team effort and I'm very proud of my team," said Pride coach Randy Tuggle. "We stuck with -- and executed -- our game plan. All 10 players who got in the game contributed positively for us." Full story
