Bobby Fong scored 17 points, including five to start a game-closing 9-3 run over the last 2:28, as St. Olaf slipped past No. 7-ranked St. Thomas, 73-68. It was the Tommies' first on-campus conference loss since Jan. 3, 2006.
St. Olaf has won seven of its past nine games to improve to 13-6, 8-6 in the conference.
Macalester won at Gustavus Adolphus 68-67, handing the second-place MIAC team a home loss as well.
Junior Eric Mack grabbed an offensive rebound and made a tip-in basket with 2.6 seconds left to lift Olivet past Albion 65-64. No. 16 St. Mary's went on a 20-4 run to surge past Hood and beat the Blazers 71-67.
In women's action on Monday night, No. 16 Greensboro remained undefeated, beating Averett 64-47 in the only game involving a Top 25 team.
Hamline's Mary Wilkowski reached the 1,500-point milestone and went on to become the program's all-time leading scorer in an 89-61 win against Augsburg. Marymount's struggles continued, as the game which used to decide the Capital Athletic Conference turned into a rout for Mary Washington. Marymount got outscored 26-4 in the second half as Mary Washington win 46-21. Connecticut College shot just 21 percent from the floor but beat Coast Guard 49-47. Coast Guard also outrebounded the Camels 47-39 but turned the ball over 28 times.
