Lee Hood

Mount Union has announced that Lee Hood has resigned his position as head men's basketball coach. The Purple Raiders were 10-16 this past season, 8-10 in the Ohio Athletic Conference.

"I have an immense sense of gratitude to current and former players along with assistant coaches who have enabled my family and me to have many positive memories of Alliance for 19 years," commented Hood.

Hood has a 248-249 record and was named Ohio Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 1997 as he led the Purple Raiders to a school-record 25 wins, OAC regular season and tournament titles and claimed the school's first-ever men's basketball NCAA Tournament bid. The team's last winning record was 14-13 in 2003-04.

Mount Union will immediately begin a search for a new head men's basketball coach.
