The first Top 25 poll of the regular season will have a new team atop the women's rankings after No. 7 UW-Stevens Point trounced No. 1 Calvin 84-63.

UW-Stevens Point opened an 11-point lead on Calvin midway through the first half and never looked back. The Pointers pushed the lead to 20 at the half and 27 five minutes into the second half. Sam Barber scored 26 points for UW-Stevens Point, giving her 53 in two games. Calvin defeated UW-Stevens Point in the second round of the 2012 NCAA tournament.
No. 12 Hope finished an impressive weekend by shutting down host Wilmington, 64-37. The Flying Dutch held the Quakers to 19 percent shooting (10-for-53) including an eight minute scoring drought.
No. 10 Washington U. held off Ohio Northern 63-60 to improve to 2-0. Jordan Rettig put the Bears in front 58-57 in the closing minutes and Ohio Northern was unable to convert on three shots to regain the lead. Four Wash. U starters scored double-digits while Cenzie Yoder tallied 18 for the Polar Bears.
St. Norbert knocked off visiting No. 20 Carthage 49-46 to win its opening tournament. Scranton left Upstate New York with a 61-45 upset win over No. 24 Rochester.
Outside the Top 25, Christopher Newport pulled away from Marymount for a 64-52 win at the Saints' opening tournament. Camry Green scored 12 of her 16 points in the second half for the Captains. Kyra Dorney sunk two free throws with six seconds left to lift Heidelberg into overtime against Albion where the Student Princes won 72-67.
