Chris Klimek poured in 31 points on 14-for-17 shooting and the No. 21 Wash U men improved to 4-0 with a 94-63 win against Austin College. He has scored in double figures in 20 of his 25 career games.

Mary Hardin-Baylor fought back from a double-digit second-half deficit, but the Cru's comeback bid fell short in a 70-61 loss at Whitworth on Friday, leaving both teams at 1-1. Whitworth's previous loss was to No. 11 St. Thomas, while UMHB's win was against Southwestern.

Defending national champ UW-Whitewater improved to 2-0 with a resounding 107-68 win against Aurora at Carthage's tournament. It's the Warhawks' biggest margin of victory since December 2007 against Rockford.

Travon Vann, a D3hoops.com Team of the Week honoree last week, scored a career-high 36 points and added 10 rebounds in Salisbury's 88-84 win against Gallaudet. Calvin improved to 4-0 for the first time since 2001-02 with a 58-55 win against Aquinas, dodging a desperation shot at the buzzer. Aquinas fell to 1-7. Simpson hit a buzzer beater to send the game into overtime, but Nebraska Wesleyan survived to beat the Storm 78-77. Jonah Bradley hit a three-pointer with one second left for the Plainsmen.

No. 14 Thomas More battled to overtime with Calvin before falling to the top-ranked Knights 84-75. Calvin, which is likely to drop from the top spot when the next D3hoops.com Top 25 comes out Monday evening, was led by Kayla Engelhard's 37 points and Carissa Verkaik's 17 rebounds.

"I think both teams came out very sluggish in the first half. We got a good lead in the second half, and before you know it, we're down by ten," said Calvin head coach John Ross. "We couldn't get the ball inside, we weren't hitting shots, and we weren't defending. Then, we went to a press, picked up a little energy, and Kelsey Irwin hit a big three at the end. Kayla had a career game from an offensive scoring point, it was good to see her do that. Give our team a lot of credit for battling and battling."

George Fox continues to struggle without Hannah Munger, not to mention last year's senior class. Munger has yet to return from the torn ACL suffered in last season's championship game and the Bruins fell to 0-2 with a 56-46 loss to Chapman. Kimi Takaoka led all scorers with 23 points on 7-for-16 shooting.

Tayler Wang and Kristina Williams combined for 34 points and No. 11 Lewis and Clark overcame its own 29 percent shooting to beat St. Olaf 73-59. The Oles turned the ball over 27 times.
