| Fewer leaves this time of year, though. |
On Thursday night, No. 18 Rhode Island College pulled away from Clark in the second half to win on the opening night of Pat Coleman's five-day extravaganza.
The opening day of the trip included a chance meeting with Emory's basketball teams and men's coach Jason Zimmerman in the airport and also included a chat with 2007 Jostens Trophy winner Ryan Cain as Pat recalled his last trip to Worcester.
Pat also talked with RIC coach Bob Walsh about his team, his use of social media and the state of the Little East Conference in a postgame interview.
If nothing else, escaping one of the coldest days of the year in Minnesota is good enough reason to get out, but there are a bunch of ranked teams on this docket, including a game between Top Five teams which will be broadcast by D3hoops.com and D3Cast.
Thursday is a single game, men only, but the rest are doubleheaders.
Thursday, Jan. 31: RIC 74, Clark 63
Friday, Feb. 1: Middlebury at Bowdoin
Saturday, Feb. 2: Tufts at Amherst
Sunday, Feb. 3: Rochester at Brandeis
Monday, Feb. 4: John Jay at Medgar Evers
Watch this space and the D3hoops.com Daily Dose for more as Pat meanders across Massachusetts ... and Maine ... and, well, Brooklyn.
