No. 8 Wooster took the lead with a 22-9 run sandwiched around halftime and overcame 29 points from Andy Winters in defeating No. 9 Ohio Wesleyan 88-82.

The Scots (14-2, 8-0 NCAC) got 20 points apiece from Doug Thorpe and Xavier Brown, while Kenny DeBoer added 19. OWU's loss is its second in a row, dropping the Battling Bishops to 13-3, 6-2.

Ryan Kolb scored 18 points to lead four scorers in double figures as No. 6 WPI won the battle of Engineers, defeating MIT 65-56. Mitchell Kates led all scorers with 19 for MIT, the preseason No. 1 team in the D3hoops.com Top 25, which fell to 12-4, 3-2 in the NEWMAC.

Kates hit a layup with 4:32 to go in the game to cut WPI's lead to 50-48 but MIT could get no closer as WPI put the game out of reach with an 11-3 run. It's WPI's 20th consecutive win, dating to last season.

Washington and Lee contributed to the ODAC's topsy-turvy nature, defeating No. 22 Guilford 62-58. Javon McDonald scored 21 for the Generals, all of them coming from beyond the arc. The game ended Guilford's nine-game winning streak. Virginia Wesleyan managed to remain unbeaten in the ODAC, rallying from an 18-point second-half deficit at Roanoke to win 89-82. Roanoke remains winless in the ODAC, at 7-10 overall, 0-8.

No. 14 St. Mary's (Md.) beat Salisbury 59-50 to move into a first place tie with idle Wesley in the CAC. Chris Kearney's 32 points accounted for more than half of Catholic's scoring as the Cardinals stifled Scranton 58-48.

Carthage nipped No. 20 Wheaton (Ill.) 62-61 in a see-saw battle between CCIW teams. Brayden Teuscher hit a three-pointer with 21 seconds left to give Wheaton the lead but Marlon Senior answered with the game-winning shot 17 seconds later. No. 18 Illinois Wesleyan mashed Millikin 93-60 to stay perfect in conference.

Darnell Harris scored all 16 of his points and No. 15 UW-Whitewater edged UW-Stout 58-55. UW-Platteville reversed a nine-point second half deficit to win at UW-Superior 76-67. The Pioneers improved to 12-6 and went over .500 in the WIAC at 5-4, winning for just the second time in five games. Chas Cross led Platteville with 22 points on 8-for-12 shooting, while adding 12 rebounds and blocking three shots.

Austin Weatherford hit a 3-pointer to force overtime and finished with 19 points as Rose-Hulman survived Bluffton 67-64. The Engineers improved to 14-2, 8-1 in the HCAC. Eastern Nazarene won its sixth consecutive game, defeating Endicott 94-76 to improve to 12-3, 7-2 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference. Eric Lynch led the victors with 18 points in 11 minutes off the bench. Adin Medunjanin had the first recorded triple-double in Skidmore history to lead the Thoroughbreds to a 65-48 win against Bard. He recorded 11 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.

Kyle Payne scored a game-high 17 points as Baldwin Wallace won its 10th straight game, defeating Capital 79-67. The Yellow Jackets' administration declared its programs ineligible for the NCAA Tournament in all sports earlier this academic year, but Baldwin Wallace would be the No. 2 seed in the OAC tournament if it were eligible and the season ended today.

Hardin-Simmons stepped out of division and got squashed by Division I Baylor, 107-38. Hiram finished a very good week with a win at Wittenberg 62-57. The Terriers upset Ohio Wesleyan on Wednesday.
