Williams rallied from a seven-point deficit with 4:20 left and survived a potential game-winning shot at the buzzer as the No. 9 Ephs defeated No. 3 Middlebury 64-63.

Michael Mayer scored a game-high 24 points, including a layup that started a game-ending 8-0 run to give the Ephs the win. Daniel Wohl scored the game-winner with a layup with 31 seconds left.

The Panthers (16-1, 5-1 NESCAC) led by nine points in the first half and by eight twice in the final eight minutes of the game but went cold down the stretch. During the Ephs' game-ending run, Middlebury turned the ball over three times and went 0-for-4. Jake Wolfin was held to five points on 2-for-11 shooting.

Nate Serenius made one of two free throws with 28 seconds left and Brayden Teuscher made one of two 21 seconds later as No. 25 Wheaton (Ill.) defeated No. 5 North Central (Ill.) 71-69. Tyler Peters scored a game-high 20 points and Teuscher added 19 for the Thunder. The Cardinals shot 51 percent from the floor and 8-for-15 from 3-point range, but shot just 9-for-18 from the line.

Dustin McConnell's basket with 25 seconds to play put No. 4 Whitworth in the lead for the final time and the Pirates held on to defeat Pacific Lutheran 71-68. Whitworth improved to 18-1 overall and 10-0 in the Northwest Conference with its 18th straight victory.  The host Lutes fell to 5-14, 3-7.

Amherst kept pace with Williams and remained unbeaten in the NESCAC standings, rolling past Trinity (Conn.) 83-55. Peter Kaasila scored 23 points for the No. 14 Lord Jeffs on 10-for-13 shooting.

Anthony LoRusso scored 23 points, but it was Elgin Brown who put No. 11 Ramapo ahead for good, hitting the game-winning bucket off a feed from Will Sanborn with 1:19 left to lift the Roadrunners past TCNJ 73-72.

No. 8 Wooster overcame a ridiculously bad night at the line, defeating Hiram 68-63 despite shooting just 10-for-30 on free throws. The last two misses came with 29 seconds left and left Hiram with a chance to tie before Wooster held on to win.

Shawn Holmes scored 21 points and Chris Kearney added 17 points and 15 rebounds as No. 10 Catholic won 54-42 at Merchant Marine. Devin Spencer and Nick Laguerre scored 18 apiece as No. 12 St. Mary's (Md.) pulled away from York (Pa.) 84-51. DePauw knocked off No. 22 Ohio Wesleyan 65-63 in overtime, while No. 23 Hampden-Sydney rolled past Guilford 76-52. Bryan Powell hit a 3-pointer with 3.8 seconds left to lift No. 17 Calvin past Adrian 50-47. Powell finished with 13 as Calvin won Adrian for the first time in three seasons.

Wesley won for the 11th consecutive time, defeating Marymount 68-45. Paul Reynolds scored a game-high 19 points and keyed a 15-2 run to open the second half. Tyler Rudd scored a game-high 34 points and Andrew Merlo had 18 points in 49 minutes as McDaniel defeated Washington College 95-87 in triple overtime.
