Tufts got bounced in the NESCAC quarterfinals as Bowdoin overcame 17 turnovers to defeat the No. 7 Jumbos 60-54.

Selena Lorrey came off the bench to score 11 points on 3-for-7 shooting from 3-point range for the Polar Bears, part of an 11-for-19 night from beyond the arc. Kaitlin Donahoe went 3-for-3 from beyond the arc en route to nine points and Sara Binkhorst scored 10 points on 2-for-4 shooting. Binkhorst was 4-for-4 from the line in the final 90 seconds as Bowdoin scored the final eight points.

Tufts' loss means No. 6 Amherst will host the NESCAC semifinal for the sixth season in a row. The Lord Jeffs rolled over Trinity (Conn.) 80-34. They are the second seed in the NESCAC as determined by a random draw since the Lord Jeffs, Jumbos and Williams finished in a three-way tie.

Tufts is a lock to receive an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament but will have to wait 13 days for its next game.

Elsewhere, in front of a home crowd of 3,443, No. 3 Hope steamrolled out to a 47-21 halftime lead on No. 2 Calvin and cruised to a 65-50 win against its archrival.

Liz Ellis scored a game-high 20 points on 6-for-8 shooting. The Flying Dutch, who shot better than 60 percent from the floor in the first half, cooled considerably in the second half and committed several shot-clock violations but Calvin could get no closer than 12, on a Carissa Verkaik jumper with 3:45 left.

Hope, which improved to 24-1 overall, picked up its only loss of the season on Jan. 12 at Calvin. Verkaik led the Knights (22-2, 15-1 MIAA) with 19 points. After the game, Calvin won the coin toss that determined top seed in the MIAA playoffs.

No. 13 Catholic secured the top seed in the Landmark playoffs with a 79-75 overtime win over Moravian. Emily Grabiak iced the game with two late free throws, along with notching 12 assists and 13 rebounds. Jill Woerner led the Cardinals with 25 points and 10 rebounds.

Carthage held off Wheaton (Ill.) 47-44 to win a low scoring affair and the CCIW title. The Lady Reds will also host the women's tournament next weekend. WPI rallied past Coast Guard 59-49 to give Cherise Galasso her 200th career victory.

The top spot in the Centennial Conference playoffs was determined by two nailbiters. Gettysburg beat McDaniel 43-41 on a late three-pointer by Jenna Swope. Swarthmore lost in overtime to archrival Haverford 45-41, so Gettysburg gets the top seed.

Delaware Valley freshman Bridget Sobon hit two free throws with 2.2 seconds remaining as the Aggies ended their season on a high note with a 69-67 upset win on the road at FDU-Florham.

No. 9 Simpson bounced back from its midweek loss with a 70-69 win at Central behind 30 points from Kate Nielsen. The Storm awaits the winner of fourth-seeded Loras and fifth-seeded Coe in the IIAC semifinals.

Top-ranked DePauw entered the North Coast Athletic Conference tournament unbeaten as Ali Ross scored 15 and Kate Walker added 12 in a 76-41 win against Wooster. The Tigers outrebounded the Scots 45-23. No. 4 Ohio Northern cruised to a 77-42 win against Capital, finishing the OAC schedule 18-0. Joanna Snyder and Cenzie Yoder scored 15 apiece for the Polar Bears.
