Monday: Back for more

After a nearly three-week break, Emory and Johns Hopkins posted impressive wins in their return to the court while WPI and Buena Vista won dramatically.

Zach Karalis' late three-pointer lifted No. 12 WPI over Williams at Salem State's tournament, 73-71. The Ephs took a 71-70 lead on a Ryan Kilcullen layup with 15 seconds left. Intead of calling timeout, the Engineers pushed the ball up the court and found Karalis for the game-winning shot. Watch the final shot in the video to the right. Recap

WPI extended its winning streak to six games and snapped Williams' seven-game win streak.

No. 7 Emory didn't show much rust despite playing its first game since December 10. The Eagles scored five layups in the opening five minutes and shot 48 percent from the field in an 84-65 win over previously unbeaten Bates. Alex Foster scored 22 points for Emory (8-1) while Graham Safford had 23 points and eight assists for Bates (7-1).

Johns Hopkins had an even longer layoff, but you couldn't tell from the Blue Jays' performance. After a 23 day break, Johns Hopkins dealt No. 16 Centre its first loss, 66-51. The Blue Jays hit 13 three-pointers and had 17 assists versus just five turnovers.

The day's biggest thriller happened in Reading, Pennsylvania where Buena Vista outlasted Delaware Valley 114-107 in triple overtime. The lead changed hands five times in the second overtime before Buena Vista finally pulled away. The Beavers had five players reach double-digit scoring and Chris Moran scored 32 points in 49 minutes for the Aggies. Recap
