McDaniel rallied from an eight-point second-half deficit to knock F&M from the ranks of the unbeaten, while Catholic knocked off Scranton, Babson survived and more in Saturday's men's action.
Cameron Royster recorded a career-best 17 points for McDaniel, which knocked off a ranked team for the first time since 2011. The No. 10 ranking for the Diplomats (14-1, 7-1 CC) matched the highest ranking of a team defeated by McDaniel (10-4, 5-3). There were 13 lead changes in the second half alone and McDaniel survived after intercepting a long pass in the final seconds.
Franklin and Marshall's loss leaves two undefeated teams in men's Division III basketball. No. 7 Marietta pounded Otterbein 105-66 to stay that way. No. 20 Chapman took care of one-win Caltech, 67-58.
No. 9 North Central (Ill.) lost its second consecutive game, this time falling at home to Elmhurst 66-57. Kyle Wuest shot 3-for-14 from the field, but 16-for-17 from the free throw line and scored 23 points for the Bluejays (13-3, 3-2 CCIW). Jayme Moten led the Cardinals (13-3, 3-2) with 25 points.
Top-ranked Augustana fended off Wheaton (Ill.) 78-74 behind another big night from Hunter Hill. The Vikings guard scored 22 points and hit four 3-pointers, while the Thunder shot 50 percent as a team.
After Catholic's women upset No. 7 Scranton, Catholic's men finished the sweep of ranked Royals, as the Cardinals knocked off No. 24 Scranton 71-65. The teams came in with identical 12-3 records and 6-0 marks in the Landmark Conference. Freshman Jay Howard poured in a game-high 24 points on 9-for-12 shooting for the Cardinals, who got all 71 points from their starters.
Quardell Young scored 28 points and had five assists and KJ Evans had 19 points and a season-high 13 rebounds as No. 2 UW-Whitewater won its eighth in a row, defeating UW-La Crosse 71-64 in La Crosse.

John Wickey scored a game-high 22 points with 12 rebounds and Joey Flannery went 10-for-12 from the line en route to 17 points as No. 15 Babson defeated Wheaton (Mass.) 65-63. The Beavers survived as Billy Battaglia missed a layup in the closing seconds for the Lyons (3-10, 0-4 NEWMAC). It was the 300th career win for Stephen Brennan. Mike DeWitt got his 300th career win as well, as No. 17 Ohio Wesleyan defeated DePauw 76-64.
No. 25 Amherst bounced back from Friday night's embarrassing blowout at the hands of Tufts by defeating Bates 70-53. Eric Conklin was 6-for-6 from the floor off the bench en route to a team-high 12 points for the Lord Jeffs (11-4, 2-2).
Bard continued its impressive season, winning 61-57 at Hobart behind double-doubles from DeVahnte Mosley (18 points, 10 rebounds) and Brandon Cunningham (16 and 11). The Raptors improved to 8-7 and 3-3 in the Liberty League, matching their conference win total from their previous three seasons in the league combined.
Egzon Gjonbalaj scored 25 points and had 13 rebounds as Brooklyn edged Keystone 82-78. The Bulldogs improved to 14-3, while the Giants fell to 3-10. Bryan Nagy had a triple-double, with 31 points, 17 rebounds and 17 assists as Carroll defeated Grinnell 139-131 in overtime. Nagy added seven steals and four blocked shots as Carroll's starting five scored 105 points.
Jerry Buchanon had 27 points on 9-for-25 shooting and Kenny Lockett added 23 points and a game-high 11 rebounds as Elms outlasted Regis (Mass.) 92-90 in triple overtime. Buchanon missed shots at the end of regulation and the first overtime but hit a 3-pointer in the closing seconds of the second overtime to force the third.
In a game with 12 ties and 11 lead changes, Eastern Mennonite forced its way to a double overtime victory at Hampden-Sydney, winning 90-81. David Falk hit game-tying shots at the end of regulation and the first OT, and Marcel Crump took over in the second OT, finishing with 33 points for the Royals.
Lamard Herron scored 20 points, 16 of which came after halftime, as Cortland State rallied to defeat host Plattsburgh, 68-65. The Red Dragons improved to 10-3, 4-3 SUNYAC.
