North Park head men's basketball coach Tom Slyder has resigned from his role after 10 seasons with the Vikings.

The Vikings posted a 10-15 mark this season, 5-11 in the CCIW. North Park was 83-156 (.347) in his 10 years.

"I have accepted Coach Tom Slyder's resignation," said athletic director John Born. "We thank him for 10 years of service and dedication to North Park, and wish him well in his future endeavors. We will immediately begin a nationwide search for his replacement."

Slyder was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Co-Coach of the Year after the 2016-17 season after guiding North Park to an overall record of 18-8 (11-5 CCIW) and a league co-championship.
