(CONWAY, S.C.) - The Thomas More College men's basketball team fell, 125-70, to NCAA Division I member Coastal Carolina tonight (Monday, December 20, 2010) at Kimbel Arena in Conway, South Carolina.

With the loss, the Saints fall to 5-3 overall.  With the win, the Chanticleers improve to 10-2 overall.

Coastal Carolina jumped out to an 11-2 lead when 17:18 to play in the first half when Chad Gray converted an old fashion three-point play.  Thomas More would answer with a lay-up and free-throw by senior shooting guard Aaron Miller (Lexington, Ky./Henry Clay) at the 16:55 mark of the first half to cut the lead to 11-5.  That would be as close as the Saints would come as the Chanticleers went on to the 125-70 victory.

Thomas More shot 36.9 percent from the field, including 29 percent from behind the three-point arc, while Coastal shot 64.4 percent from the field and 56.5 percent from three-point range.

The Saints had two players finish in double-figure scoring as junior shooting guard Todd Krohman (Florence, Ky./Boone County) had 17 points and Miller had 11.  Freshman point guard Spencer Berlekamp (Cincinnati, Ohio/Kings) led the team on the boards with five rebounds and in assists with three.

The Saints are idle until next Monday (December 27) when they host Wilberforce University at 7 p.m. during the first day of the Coach Connor Classic at the Connor Convocation Center in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.
