Hogga Nets 1,000th-Career Point In Gwynedd-Mercy's Win Over Marywood

GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA. – Senior Jon Hogga recorded his 1,000th career point to highlight Gwynedd-Mercy's 81-58 CSAC win over Marywood Thursday night.

Hogga was one of four Griffins in double figures, led by Jon Crabtree who poured in a game-high and career-high 24 points.
Gwynedd (8-4, 3-2 CSAC) shot exactly 14-of-27 (51.9%) in each half en route to the conference victory.
Jacques Robinson drained four of the Pacers' 10 three-pointers on the night to finish with 14 points. John Foreman hit three treys while adding four boards and three assists, totaling 13 points for MU.
The Griffins (8-4, 3-2 CSAC) looked to run away early, but Marywood kept pace, holding the GM lead to under 10 points for most of the stanza. A quick 7-0 run in the last two minutes, upped the lead to 13 before a Pacer bucket to beat the buzzer sent the teams into the lockerroom with Gwynedd leading 39-28.
GM stepped on the gas pedal to start the second, going on a 13-2 spurt to turn an 11-point lead to a 22-point edge.
Marywood, who hit six of their 10 three-pointers in the second half, chipped away to get within 67-54 with 7:48 left. The Griffins responded with a 12-0 run to put the game away.
Junior Dan DelConte chipped in 12 points and five assists while sophomore Frank Champion poured in 10. Junior Brandon Williams pulled down a game-high eight rebounds.
