LANGHORNE, Pa. (January 17, 2011) – Seniors Rob Urie (Ortley Beach, N.J./Toms River East) and Corey Kearney (North Arlington, N.J./Queen of Peace) combined for 33 points, seven rebounds, four steals and three assists to lead the Centenary men's basketball team (4-10, 2-5 CSAC) to an 81-74 win over Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) foe Philadelphia Biblical (0-11, 0-6 CSAC), Monday in Langhorne, Pa.
The win ended a six-game losing streak for the Cyclones. Urie finished with a team-high 19 points on six-of-13 shooting, including four-of-five from beyond the arc. Kearney shot six-of-nine from the field and hit both of his three-point attempts en route to 14 points. Making his first career start, freshman Andy Charles (West Orange, N.J./Montclair) finished with a career-high eight rebounds, along with seven points, two assists and one steal.
The Cyclones connected on a season-high 11 three-pointers, which proved to be the difference in the game. CC shot 46.7 percent from the floor (28-of-60) while PBU connected at a 49.1 percent clip (27-of-55). But the Cyclones limited their opponent to just six three pointers, all in the second half.
