Blue Devils fall to NCAA Division II Winona State, 83-56

WINONA, Minn. (November 4, 2013) - Winona State went on a 17-6 run over the first 12 minutes of the game and took a 42-24 halftime lead on their way to an 83-56 exhibition game win over UW-Stout at McCown Gymnasium Monday.

Skylar O'Laughlin scored six of the Warriors first nine points of the game. Riley Bambenek led all players with 17 points, leading five Warriors in double figures. O'Laughlin finished with 11 points, along with Isaiah Gray. Mark Blacklock and Corey Jeffs scored 10 points each.

Newcomer Jimmy Whitehead (Sr, La Crosse) led Stout with 16 points and six rebounds. Jarvis Ragland (Sr, Milwaukee) had 10 rebounds. Aaron Jenny (Sr, Spicer, Minn) had nine points and six rebounds.

Stout shot 20-of-59 from the floor (33.9 percent), while Winona shot 32-of-58 (55.2 percent).

The Warriors are ranked 20th in the preseason NABC Division II Coaches Poll

Stout will play a final exhibition game at the University of Minnesota-Duluth Saturday, Nov. 9 at 4 p.m.
