Sewanee, Tenn. (Jan. 17, 2014) – The Sewanee men's basketball team will look to extend its home winning streak to 14 straight games Saturday, as the Tigers host Southern Athletic Association (SAA) rival Centre inside Juhan Gymnasium. The Tigers and Colonels are scheduled to tip-off at 3:00 p.m.

After its convincing 68-51 victory over regional-rival Covenant Tuesday, Sewanee has not lost on campus since January 22, 2013.

Additionally, the Tigers have won three straight games and seven out of their last nine contests. The only two losses Sewanee has had since Nov. 23rd were both less than four-point defeats at Centre and at Piedmont.

Individually, freshman Jorden Williams has scored in double figures in nine consecutive games. Williams, who is averaging a team-leading 15.5 ppg, finished with a game-high 19 points against the Scots.

Sophomore Keshonn Carter has also played well this season. The second-year forward is averaging 12.2 ppg and a team-best 6.7 rpg.

Centre travels to Sewanee after winning four straight games. The Colonels are 8-2 in their last 10 contests and 10-3 overall.

Like Sewanee, the Colonels have been successful with a balanced scoring attack. Centre has three players averaging double figures, which includes leading scorer Donovan Whiteside (14.7 ppg).
