William Paterson Men's Basketball Drops Conference Game at Stockton

WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson men's basketball team (6-12, 1-10 NJAC) fell, 77-56, to Stockton (11-7, 8-3 NJAC) in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) game Jan. 24 at the Sports and Recreation Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Stockton jumped out to a 23-7 lead with 11:08 on the clock in the first half.
  • The Pioneers countered with a 10-4 run, but the Ospreys took a 41-20 advantage into the half.
  • Despite outscoring Stockton, 23-13, in the closing 9:27 of the second half, the Pioneers were unable to overcome the deficit and fell, 77-56.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

  • Sophomore Jack Gobel scored a team-high 14 points while reeling in four rebounds.
  • Graduate student Ethan Paul had nine points and four boards.

UP NEXT:

  • William Paterson returns to the Sports and Recreation Wednesday, Jan. 28, to host No. 8 Montclair State at 7:30 p.m.
