Colorado College erupted for a 96–65 win over Schreiner on Saturday afternoon at Reid Arena, pulling away with a dominant second half and watching senior Asher Nofziger become the 24th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points.

Nofziger entered the day needing nine points to reach the milestone and wasted no time getting there, finishing with a game-high 21 points on 8-of-19 shooting, including three three-pointers, while adding six rebounds and four assists. His basket at the 7:46 mark of the second half pushed him past the 1,000-point mark, sparking a stretch that blew the game open.

Junior Ty Hendler added 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting, Freshman Kyle Kihlberg posted a double-double with 11 points and a career-high 16 rebounds. It was Kihlberg's first career double-double. Freshman Terrion Benson chipped in 10 points off the bench. Gavin Carter dished out seven assists as CC finished with 21 helpers on 39 made field goals.
 
The contest was tightly played early, with Schreiner taking a 35–32 lead into halftime after five lead changes and seven ties in the opening 20 minutes. CC kept pace behind balanced scoring and strong work on the glass, but the Mountaineers briefly led by as many as nine midway through the first half.

The tone flipped quickly after the break. CC opened the second half on a 14–5 run, highlighted by back-to-back threes from Nofziger and Ty Hendler, turning a three-point deficit into a 46–40 advantage. From there, the Tigers poured it on, shooting 68.4 percent in the second half and 9-of-14 from beyond the arc.

A Nofziger turnaround in the paint, followed by a second-chance three that made it 57–43, capped a surge that pushed the lead to double figures. Moments later, he knocked down another triple and converted at the line as CC stretched the margin to 58–43 and never looked back.

CC continued to pull away, maintaining its depth and pace, building the lead to as many as 31. The Tigers finished with a 50–26 edge in points in the paint, a 36–20 advantage in bench scoring, and held Schreiner to 35.7 percent shooting for the game.

The win improved CC to 7–10 overall and 5–3 in conference play, while Schreiner fell to 7–11 and 4–4. The Tigers will take their two-game winning streak on the road to Concordia (TX) on Friday, Jan. 30.
