Junior Jessica Bandrowski (Center Moriches, NY/Center Moriches) nearly recorded a triple-double and finished with 12 points, 10 steals and 8 assists as Keuka College's women's basketball team defeated Cazenovia 62-51 Wednesday night inside the Weed Physical Arts Center.
It was the Storm's (17-2, 14-1 North Eastern Athletic Conference) 11th straight win, all in conference play. The Green and Gold closed out the season undefeated (11-0) at home while remaining in first place in the NEAC North Division.
Junior Danielle Gravel (Sidney, NY/Sidney) added 14 points and three assists and classmate Casey Chamberlain (Perry, NY/Perry) had 12 points and nine rebounds.
Senior Mariah Mouzon (Elmira, NY/Elmira Free Academy) recorded a double-double with 11 rebounds and 10 points for the Storm. It was the seventh double-double this year, and 25th of her career.
Before the game, Keuka honored Mouzon and fellow senior Montana McDonald (Romulus, NY/Romulus) for their dedication to the women's basketball program.
"Mariah and I have been playing together for four years, and it was one of those situations where it's over, it was our last home game together and our last time being able to play on this court together," McDonald said. "I'm incredibly proud to say I've been her teammate for the last four years. I'm proud of our team and I know our program will do great things over the next few years."
In their time in Keuka Park, the Storm have combined to go 78-19, including a mark of 48-6 in the NEAC over the last three years with one NEAC regular season title, two NEAC postseason championships and two NCAA tournament appearances.
"It was definitely great to have everyone here cheering us on. The bigger the crowd, the more it picks us up," Mouzon said. "It's hard to believe this was our last home game. It's really sad, but we made the best of our opportunity and I'm really proud of Montana and I, we played well on Senior Night. It was a really cool tribute."
With her 10-point game, Mouzon sits 34 points shy of becoming just the 10th student-athlete in school history to eclipse 1,000 career points.
Megan McDermott had 20 points and 13 rebounds for Cazenovia (5-17, 5-9).
Keuka hits the road for a 1 p.m. clash with rival SUNYIT Saturday afternoon. The Storm handed IT a 102-98 overtime setback on Jan. 26.
