Baruch Finishes Third at Emmanuel Tip-Off, Defeat Salve Regina (66-61)

The Baruch College Bearcats finished in third place at the Emmanuel College Tip-Off Tournament in Boston, Massachusetts.

The Bearcats trailed by as much 11 points (42-31) in the third period, but rallied all the way back with
Veronica Ganziscoring 20 of her 27 points down the stretch to help record the 66-61 victory.

Defense was a factor with the Bearcats limiting the Seahawks to a paltry 27 percent shooting in the final two periods to help overcome the double-digit deficit to even their season record at 1-1.


Jacqueline Kennedyhad another double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds to be named to the All-Tournament Team.

Symone Green, recently named a CUNYAC First Team All-Star in volleyball, contributed on the basketball end with her first career double-double of 12 points, 10 rebounds and three steals.

Kristen Podlovits was also busy with nine assists, seven rebounds and three steals.

The Bearcats will return to action on Wednesday, November 25, with their home opener at 7:00 pm against preseason nationally-ranked No. 7 NYU.
