The Anchorwomen (3-4, 1-0 LEC) started the game on a 7-2 run, capped by a layup by sophomore forward Rybecca Gonzalez (Pawtucket, RI) with 5:33 left in the first quarter. The Panthers (2-5, 0-2 LEC) responded with a 7-2 run of their own to knot the game at 9-9 with 2:39 left in the quarter. |

An old-fashion three-point play by RIC junior guard Alex Moore (West Newbury, MA) put the Anchorwomen up one, 12-11, but a late Plymouth three ball by senior guard Taylor Perry (Simsbury, CT) put the Panthers up by two, 14-12, entering the second quarter. The Panthers used a 12-2 run in the first 6:51 of the second quarter to take a commanding, 26-14, lead. RIC responded, scoring the last four points in the quarter to cut the deficit back down to single digits, 26-18, entering the half. |

The Anchorwomen looked reenergized following the halftime break, cutting the PSU lead down to two, 30-28, following a Gonzalez layup with 4:57 left in the third quarter. A trey by Perry put the Panthers up eight, but Gonzalez answered with a layup to send the game into the final 10 minutes with Plymouth clinging to a 36-30 lead. The Panthers upped their lead to 10 points, 42-32, after a made bucket by junior forward Annaliese Schmidt (Newmarket, NH) with 7:53 left in the contest. RIC went on a 15-0 run over the next 5:46, capped by a three-pointer by Gonzalez, to take a 47-42 lead with 2:07 left. |

A three-pointer by PSU junior guard Ace Lawrence (Middletown, CT) with 28 seconds left in the game cut the RIC advantage to three, 49-46, but the Anchorwomen hit three clutch free throws down the stretch to clinch the win and snap their four-game losing streak. |

RIC was led by Hill's game-high 21 points with Gonzalez notching a double-double with 13 points and a game-high 10 boards. Moore scored 18 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out four assists in the victory. |

Lawrence led the Panthers with 17 points, while Perry chipped in 15 points, grabbed four rebounds and swiped two steals in the losing effort. |

RIC shot 32.7 percent (17-for-52) from the field and 62.5 percent (15-for-24) from the charity stripe in the victory. The Panthers shot just 28.8 percent (15-for-52) from the field and 52.9 percent (9-for-17) from the free throw line in the loss. The Panthers held a slim, 42-38, edge in rebounds for the game. |
