ALFRED, NY—The Alfred University women's basketball team fell to the Houghton College Highlanders 59-40 at home in the Terry S. Galanis Family Arena Saturday evening.
 
Junior Maddi Flint (Caledonia, NY/Caledonia-Mumford) led the Alfred University women's basketball team with 13 points and eight rebounds. Junior Amanda Off (New Berlin, NY/Unadilla Valley) scored seven points and collected seven rebounds in a limited role in the game. Freshman Chanice Battle (Brooklyn, NY/Midwood) also chimed in with seven rebounds for the Saxons.
 
The Highlanders were led by Elle Reed with 17 points and five rebounds. Leslie Moose and Esther Webb both accumulated seven rebounds each for Houghton.
 
The Saxons (1-16, E8 0-8) look to grab their first Empire 8 victory at home against the Cardinals of St. John Fisher College Wednesday evening at 8PM.
