LISLE, IL - The Benedictine University women's basketball team ran away from visiting Rockford University as head coach Charlie Averkamp won his 50th career game in a third consecutive victory.

• The game started slow with neither team scoring for the first three minutes of the contest
• Following a Rockford three-pointer, Benedictine tallied seven straight and did not trail again
• Madisyn Fischer knocked down a triple to give Benedictine the lead at the 5:23 mark of the first
• Rockford made only two first quarter field goals as Benedictine led 15-5
• The contest marked the third time that Benedictine scored 80 points or more in a game
• D'Asia Williams nailed a three-pointer with 2:28 remaining in the half to extend the lead to 35-15
• Bennita Drain converted on a three-point play just before the half to give Benedictine a 43-18 halftime edge
• The visitors scored just two points in the first five minutes of the second half as an 18-2 run capped on a three from Georgia Alexakos increased the lead to 61-20
• Rockford pulled no closer than the final margin the rest of the way
• Benedictine has held the last three opponents to 52 points or less with all three shooting below 30.5 percent
• Benedictine swept the season series from Rockford and won on a night when two of the other conference front-runners suffered defeats
• Averkamp is 50-23 in under three years at the helm of the women's basketball program; The 2016-17 team tallied one of the most successful seasons in program history


• Williams notched a double-double with a game best 15 points along with 10 rebounds to lead Benedictine
• Allison Michalski finished with 10 points off the bench in 12 minutes
• 14 players cracked the scoring column as the entire roster saw action
• Alexakos netted nine points to go with five rebounds, three assists and three blocks
• Benedictine held a 45-31 edge on the glass an forced 23 turnovers, resulting in 18 points, while overcoming a season high 27
