Three Tigers put up double digits against Coe, but Anija Simmons (FR/Plano, TX) was the overall leader. In her collegiate debut, Simmons put up an impressive 17 points. Simmons also led the Tigers in both rebounds, with 9, and assists, tallying 3.
Morgan McCrea (SR/Hattiesburg, MS) opened her senior season by dropping 16points, 9 of which came from beyond the arc. Asantee Tillman (FR/Des Moines, IA) was close behind, scoring 12 points, in her collegiate debut. Tillman dropped 5 of 6 field goals for the day.
The Tigers will be on the road to Wartburg College this Wednesday to tip things off against the Knights at 6:15 PM. The team will be back at home this upcoming Saturday to host the Simpson College Storm. Game time is scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM. IW is now 0-1 for the season.
