Women's
Michelle Carter
Coming off the bench, Carter averaged 21 points, 3.0 assists, and 2.5 steals for the Fighting Scots in their opening contests, wins over Mount Union and Mt. St. Joseph.
Jen Bengel
Bengal averaging 18.3 points and 14.0 rebounds. The sophomore guard/forward paced the Bullets of Gettysburg with double-doubles in each of their three games.
Sara Kahl
Stout senior Sara Kahl averaged 20 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 4 steals in the Kalamazoo Hornet Tipoff Classic. Named the tourney MVP, Kahl was crucial in the Blue Devils’ one-point victory against Denison.
Allison Coleman
Allison Coleman earned Most Outstanding Player honors at Eastern Connecticut's Sulinski Tournament, after averaging 14.0 points, 9.0 assists, 7.5 rebounds, 7.0 steals, and 3.0 blocks. She equaled her own program record with 11 assists in a 106-33 win over Massachusetts College and added 16 points for her 47th career double-double.
Jennifer Northcutt
Jennifer knocked down 18.5 points and grabbed 6.5 rebounds to lead the Flying Dutch in wins over a ranked Washington & Jefferson squad and a scrappy York (Pa.) team.
Men's
Scott Laslo
Playing in his first collegiate game, Laslo drove the Pioneers to victory against Mary Washington in the Shenandoah University Tip-off Tournament. After 24 points and eight boards on Friday, Laslo notched 23 points in a win over Emory & Henry.
Ben Easley
The Cavaliers ran behind Ben Easley in their opener against Cazenovia, hitting for 37 points in just 20 minutes. The junior, making his first appearance in a Cabrini uniform, added 11 in a win against New Jersey.
Jeremy Bass
Bass averaged 20 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.0 blocked shots to in Haverford’s wins over RPI and Whittier. Behind the sophomore, Haverford tallied its largest win in a season opener since 1957 while nailing all ten of his free throw attempts.
Jason Kalsow
Kalsow was named MVP of the Pointers Tipoff Classic, pacing the Pointers with a career-high 28 points over Kendall followed by a double-double against Northland.
John Mietus
Mietus led the Pioneers to a pair of wins, including a victory over NAIA Div. I No. 15 Lewis-Clark State, scoring 49 points and adding 26 rebounds. He posted back to back double-doubles to pace an early 2-0 start for Lewis & Clark.
