Women's

Malia Nelson

Nelson led UW-La Crosse to a 2-0 week including a win over No. 11 UW-Whitewater and UW-Eau Claire. In the Eagles 77-54 win over Whitewater, Nelson scored a game high 17 points including 10-of-12 from the free throw line. Then she scored 12 points while grabbing six rebounds and three assists in a77-55 win over Eau Claire. For the week, Nelson averaged 15 points, five rebounds, two assists, and a steal per game. 

 

Katie Fricker

Fricker turned in a pair of huge performances in NJAC wins for TCNJ, averaging 20 points, eight rebounds, and four assists per game. She racked up a career-high 24 points in Wednesday's 84-51 victory at reigning league champion Montclair State, then celebrated Senior Day with 15 points and a career-high 14 rebounds as the Lions dominated New Jersey City, 95-55, on Saturday. Fricker was a perfect 16-for-16 at the free-throw line and shot 50% from the field for the week. 

 

Evie Schmitz

Schmitz scored a team-high 20 points to lead the Saints to a 65-63 victory over then-ranked Bethel. She knocked down a trio of three-pointers in the fourth quarter, including the go-ahead bucket with 2:37 remaining. Schmitz then iced the game with two free throws in the final 20 seconds. That performance came after recording 22 points in a 62-48 win over Macalester. On the week, she averaged 24 points, four rebounds, three assists, and three steals per game, shooting 54% from beyond the arc.

 

Kathleen Smith

Smith led Williams to two big NESCAC wins this weekend, averaging 19 points and 11 rebounds per game.  She scored a career-high 27 points, shooting 11 of 19 from the field and 5 for 6 from the free-throw line, to go along with eight rebounds, in a 67-63 overtime victory over Tufts Friday evening, then finished with 10 points and 13 rebounds during a 55-37 triumph over Connecticut College Saturday afternoon.

 

Carolae Barton

Barton constructed a dominant week for the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, averaging 26 points and 14 rebounds per game while shooting 68% from the field (23-for-34) and a perfect 100% from the free-throw line.  She also had three blocks and two assists per contest.  Barton opened the week with a career-high 34 points while hauling down 18 rebounds against Mt. St. Mary and followed it up with 18 points and 10 rebounds against Purchase.

 

Men's

Nasir Luna

Luna led Occidental to a historic week, starting with 21 points in an 89-60 win over Pomona-Pitzer, the first in the last 11 meetings. Luna followed that up with a 22-point, 11-rebound game in a 14-point win over Cal Lutheran. He shot 60% from the floor, 44% from three, and a perfect 100% from the FT line this week. 

 

Shea Fitzgerald

Fitzgerald helped Vassar remain undefeated in conference play with wins over RIT and Union this week. He scored 25 points per game on 54% shooting, hitting 46% of his threes.  He also added five rebounds, five assists, and three steals per game. The highlight was a 28-point, six-rebound, six-assist performance against Union where he hit the game-winning jumper with less than three seconds to go to seal an important road victory. 

 

Fletcher Bingham

Bigham led the Tigers to two SAA Conference wins this past weekend, averaging 32 points and 14 rebounds per game. Against Berry, Bigham posted a career-high 40 points with 14 rebounds; he was 13-of-20 from the floor, 7-of-11 from three-point range, and a perfect 7-of-7 from the free-throw line, adding three blocks, one assist, and one steal. On Friday against Oglethorpe, he contributed 23 points and 13 rebounds.

 

Zay Brown

Brown led the Scots to two wins and an 8-0 start in MWC play, starting with a career-high 34 points on Tuesday in a 1st place battle against Grinnell that resulted in a 12 point Monmouth win. He added 10 rebounds and four assists. On the road Saturday, Brown made 12 of 16 shots and scored 28 points in a 13-point win at Lawrence. He added nine rebounds, six assists, two blocks and two steals. For the week Brown averaged 31 points, 10 rebounds, and five asissts, shhoting 62% from the field and 77% from the line. 

 

Jalen Overway

Overway had back-to-back double-doubles in leading Calvin to conference victories over Kalamazoo and Albion. In Saturday's win over Albion, he scored eight points in the final 3:30 of regulation to help the Knights claim the win. On the week, Overway averaged 29 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, and two blocks per game, shooting 81% (21-of-26) from the floor and 88% from the FT line.
