Tobi Akinsola scored 18 of his game- and career-high 26 points in the second half as Guilford upset previously unbeaten Virginia Wesleyan 64-61 on Saturday. His free throw with 26 seconds left broke the game's sixth and final tie and sent the Quakers (11-6, 6-3) to their seventh win in eight outings. The No. 2 Marlins fell to 16-1, 7-1 ODAC.
In just its third year as a program, Randolph has been making a big impact in the ODAC. The WildCats placed four scorers in double figures, including 17 points from Colton Hunt and a double-double from Derrick Woods-Morrow in knocking off No. 14 Eastern Mennonite 64-61.
Top-ranked Wooster rallied from an 11-point deficit in the second half to beat archrival Wittenberg 65-58. Wittenberg took a 33-32 lead on a pair of Alex Brandt free throws early in the second half, then rolled out to an 11-point lead twice, at 46-35 and 49-38. But Bryan Wickliffe came to life and rallied the Scots to a 59-54 lead en route to the win.
No. 4 St. Thomas survived a late scare from its archrival, as the Tommies beat St. John's 62-59. Tommy Hannon had 16 points and 10 rebounds and Teddy Archer tied a career high with 13 points in the win, which came despite a 21-8 run by the Johnnies to cut the lead to 61-59 in the final minute. It's the ninth consecutive win for the Tommies in the series. No. 10 Randolph-Macon survived a surge from its archrival as well, and survived its own foul shooting, missing all four of its free throws in the final minute and winning 70-68 at Hampden-Sydney. Randolph-Macon led by as many as 21, 57-36, before the Tigers rallied over the final 12 minutes to nearly steal it.
Fifth-ranked Middlebury remained unbeaten, rolling past Connecticut College 80-52. The Panthers play at Williams next Saturday, then host Amherst on Feb. 11 in the NESCAC schedule, which only forces teams to play each other once. No. 15 St. Norbert scored on all nine of its possessions in the second overtime and won at home against Illinois College, 91-82.
North Park knocked off No. 16 Illinois Wesleyan 65-57, with midseason Division I transfer Mike Gabriel scoring nine off the bench in his Vikings debut. North Park outrebounded the Titans 39-25. No. 17 Hanover finished a dismal week with its second road loss in a row, falling 67-52 at Manchester. Tyler Henn shot 9-for-14 from the floor on the way to 23 points while Jordan Moss added 17 in the win.
Jonathan Jones had game-highs of 23 points and 15 rebounds as Kean knocked off No. 20 Ramapo 75-70 in a battle of the NJAC's two division leaders. Ramapo had a 16-4 run to take a 69-67 lead late, but Kean answered with a 3-pointer on its next position to retake the lead for good. Hartwick knocked off No. 22 Ithaca 100-96 as junior guard Mark Blazek scored nine of his season-high 32 points in overtime. It snapped a 12-game losing streak for the Hawks against the Bombers.

Delaware Valley remained on top of the MAC Freedom standings as James Jones erupted for 43 points in a 77-73 win against Wilkes. The Colonels led by nine points with three minutes left in the game, but the Aggies (10-6, 6-1) scored the next 10 points to take the lead. Scranton increased its Landmark Conference lead to three games and won for the 12th time in a row, crushing Goucher 70-47.
Simpson failed to overcome an early scoring drought as Luther won 77-65 to improve to 11-6 overall, 8-1 in the IIAC. Oswego State coughed up a 13-point second half lead but Chris Gilkes and Chad Burridge each hit a pair of free throws in the final 10 seconds to give the Lakers a 74-71 win against Brockport State. Oswego is 11-3 overall, 7-1 in the SUNYAC.
Anthony Click had a triple-double to help Anna Maria hold off the University of New England, 94-85. Click had 10 points, 14 rebounds and 12 assists, while teammate De La Hoz led the way with 29 points.
Franklin and Marshall blew out McDaniel 42-17 in the second half en route to a 71-40 win, 11 days after losing 61-53 at the Green Terror. Michael McClary's 39 points wasn't enough as Kalamzoo beat Olivet 80-73.
