On Friday night, Bates lost in triple overtime to Colby. But the Bobcats bounced back to beat up on rival Bowdoin, rolling past the No. 13 Polar Bears for their first NESCAC win, 77-56. Allie Beaulieu had 16 points and added six assists for the Bobcats, who shot 58 percent from the floor in the victory.
It was the worst home loss for Bowdoin in more than a decade. Senior Jessie Igoe added 13 points and nine boards while junior Annie Burns and sophomore Taryn O'Connell scored 11 apiece for the Bobcats.
No. 2 Thomas More suffered no letdown from Wednesday's big overtime win, rolling past Grove City 51-31 to remain unbeaten at 17-0. The Saints came out on fire, using a 26-2 run in the first half to open up a 28-8 lead at halftime.
No. 17 Lebanon Valley got thoroughly balanced scoring, including 39 bench points in a 79-46 win against Albright. No. 15 Medaille bounced back from Wednesday's loss to roll past Pitt-Greensburg 73-47.
Calvin remained on top in the MIAA, scoring the first nine points of the game and beating St. Mary's (Ind.) 74-60. University of the Ozarks hit eight of 11 three-pointers in the second half and won at Mississippi College for the first time ever, 67-62. Gallaudet continues to run roughshod through its new conference, the NEAC, as the Bison improved to 15-0 by beating SUNY Cobleskill 55-44. Cobleskill is 7-4 in the NEAC but just 8-6 overall. Easter Faafiti had 21 and 15 for Gallaudet.
Normally known for her play in the paint, Alycia Gervais hit six 3-pointers to finish with a career-high 21 points to go with 16 rebounds and seven assists to help Daniel Webster beat Elms 76-50. It's the 13th win in a row for the Eagles, who are 14-2 overall, 7-0 in the NECC. Roger Williams won its sixth game in a row to improve to 12-3, 5-0 in the CCC.
